Liverpool to face Leeds United in Premier League clash

On Monday evening, Liverpool will travel to Elland Road to take on Leeds United in a crucial Premier League encounter. The Reds could find themselves trailing the top four by 15 points when they arrive at the stadium. Liverpool has had a lackluster season, and Jurgen Klopp's side appears almost certain to relinquish their Champions League spot. The club's current position of eighth in the table doesn't even guarantee a place in next season's Europa League. Liverpool hasn't won a league game in four attempts, but they can take heart from their last outing, in which they fought back from two goals down to earn a 2-2 draw against leaders Arsenal. Meanwhile, Leeds is fighting for survival in the top flight for the second year in a row and currently sits 16th in the table, just two points above the relegation zone after a 5-1 defeat to Crystal Palace. As Liverpool prepares to travel to Elland Road, both sides have injury concerns, and here's the latest update. Luis Diaz The Liverpool winger is on track to be included in a first match-day squad since October after suffering a horrible knee injury. Naby Keita The Liverpool midfielder has a muscle injury and the player has missed the past three matches. He wasn’t spotted in training earlier this week.

In a disappointing match at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea and Liverpool played out a goalless draw, highlighting the current reduced status of both clubs. Chelsea, under interim manager Bruno Saltor following Graham Potter's sacking, had the better chances but failed to convert, with Mateo Kovacic and Kai Havertz both seeing goals ruled out. Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp made six changes following their heavy defeat at Manchester City and left out key players Mohamed Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold, and Andy Robertson.
Liverpool barely tested Chelsea keeper Kepa Arrizabalaga, leaving them struggling in their pursuit for a top-four place in the Premier League. With Chelsea still searching for their third manager this season, the match had little excitement, and both teams appeared to be in a state of flux.
Liverpool's only goal is a top-four finish, and they face league leaders Arsenal at Anfield next, needing a victory to stay in contention.
